We represent the full range of entities involved in international mining and energy projects, from mining companies to financial institutions to governments. Our clients are active in countries throughout Europe and Asia, including Afghanistan, China, Finland, Kosovo, Papua New Guinea, Turkey and Vietnam, as well as North and South America. In these contexts, we have acquired both country specific knowledge and broadly applicable judgment about how to address and successfully resolve complex connected to international mining and energy projects.
Our experience includes prospecting and exploration, feasibility study preparation, project development, structuring and financing, infrastructure development, acquisition of necessary governmental approvals, political risk management, compliance with international and bilateral treaties, compliance with sustainable development and environmental requirements, and conflict resolution. In these contexts, we have negotiated and prepared a variety of agreements and documents including exploration and mining agreements, joint venture and consortium agreements; stability and security agreements; onshore and offshore EPCM contracts; and other project-related agreements concerning infrastructure and social requirements.
